Weekend Trip to the Big Nipple
Grand Teton: The Big Nipple
This past weekend, I took an impromptu road trip from Denver to Grand Teton National Park. The result was a truly mesmerizing experience. It may have been my third time visiting this world-famous park, but with each visit I have always been amazed by how diverse the landscape is. It’s very easy to get comfortable at home and stick with more accessible destinations, but for an 8 hour drive, the views and experiences available in Grand Teton National Park make it a true no-brainer. As I made my way through the rolling plains of Wyoming, the anticipation began to build knowing what stunning vistas and abundant wildlife awaited me at my destination. Seven hours in and I was hit by the overwhelming majesty of the iconic Tetons jutting into the sky, towering over everything in its surroundings. The park's diverse ecosystems, from shimmering lakes to alpine meadows, offer infinite beauty at every turn, and with the bears, elk, moose, deer, bison, and wide variety of birds that call the park home, i felt truly spoiled and overwhelmed by how much there was to see. Grand Teton National Park truly encapsulates the essence of untamed nature, and continues to leave me with a profound sense of awe and appreciation.
Just a Bit of Hoarding

I May Have a Problem
If you had a good look at my SD/SSD card storage, you might get the impression that I’m a bit of a hoarder (even taking backups into consideration), but sometimes it’s nice to take a look back at some photos that I might not have appreciated as much at the time and breath new life into them as my editing and perspective changes over time.

All About the Sacrifices
“Why do i do this,” I thought to myself as I rolled over and killed the 04:30 AM alarm that ripped me from my peaceful slumber, but I was on a mission.
On this particular morning I had friends visiting from out of state. Easily one of my personal favorite ways to show guests a good time when they come to visit me in Colorful Colorado is to go to the mountains and try to spot some wildlife.
I have long been in pursuit of moose as one of my favorite animals to encounter out in the wild, and now after 3 long years of living here in Colorado, I’ve finally found a location I can practically guarantee a moose viewing.
One of the most heavily traversed 14er in CO, and many people’s first (including my own), is Mt. Bierstadt. Nestled at the beginning of this 7 mile trail is a small alpine lake that I’ve found to be a hotspot for moose in the early hours of the morning. They love to come just past sunrise and take a refreshing dip in the clean blue water, feeding on the algae that grows on the reeds lying at the bottom of the lake’s floor.
