Mormon Row | Jackson, WY

Captured: 09/23/23

Sometimes the photos you love most are the ones you never even planned to capture. On this particular morning I was the first one out to this spot. Anxious to get my sunrise photo of the infamous barn of this old settlement just outside of Jackson, WY, I was eager to be the first one there so I could frame my shot as I wanted rather than having to make do with what was available without getting in other photographer’s photos that arrived before me. I got out of me car ready to go take my claim and then the blistering cold hit me and the faint howls of coyotes in the tall grass. I decided to wait till at least one other person showed up before I ventured out into the grass and upon waiting I noticed how the light was hitting this one homestead of to the side of the settlement and set up to take my shot. The end result I think is sheer magic, and to think that I never even would’ve thought to look at this building. That’s why it’s always important to stop and smell the roses, even when you’re looking for tulips.

Promenade sur les quais de Montreux | Montreux, Switzerland

Captured: 04/28/23

One of the most spectacular surprises I’ve had traveling was the dream-like city of Montreux, Switzerland. Simply just passing through, I was not expecting such an impactful experience in a city I never even knew existed prior to visiting. Nestled on the East end of Lake Geneva, this gorgeous city is an explosion of color and culture. With vibrant wineries, delicious bistros and bakeries, and ancient castles, there’s no shortage of things to do. It has the feeling as through it was plucked straight out of the French Riviera and dropped down in the most beautiful corner of the Swiss Alps.

Finish Options

Note: Only Metal Prints have finish options.

Pros:
> Enhanced Vibrancy
> Sharpness and Detail
> Depth and Dimension
> Moisture/UV Protection

Pros:
> Minimal Reflections
> Natural Aesthetic
> Versatile Viewing Angles
> Blemish Resistant

Cons:
> Visible Reflections
> Fingerprints/Smudges
> Limited Viewing Angles
> Difficult to Light

Cons:
> Reduced Vibrancy
> Less Intense Contrast
> Detail Loss in Dark Areas
> Prone to Collect Dust

Satin

High Gloss

Ultimately, the choice of finish depends on the desired visual impact and the context in which the prints will be displayed. Both options are excellent choices for displaying fine art photography, it comes down to personal preferences.  Satin is better for brighter areas with more natural light, but High Gloss has a more prominent pop of vibrance and contrast.
