Iceland | Summer | 2022

Last spring, I had the incredible opportunity to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime photography trip with a group of close friends to the awe-inspiring land of Iceland. The sheer diversity of landscapes we encountered coupled with the whopping 18 hours of daylight felt like we walked through a portal to another world. Canyons, waterfalls, cliffs, mountains, glaciers, lagoons, Iceland's natural wonders provided the perfect playground for any photographer. One of the most striking elements of this iconic country is its incorporation of water into the landscape. With the glaciers, rivers, waterfalls, icebergs, and ocean, I truly don’t think I can say I’ve ever seen as much water on land as I did in Iceland. We journeyed through the contrasting landscapes, capturing the mighty waterfalls cascading down rugged cliffs, the majestic glaciers glistening under the Nordic sun, and the fascinating wildlife that call the country home. Sharing this adventure with my close friends was a great privelege. Apart from the company they provided, as a photographer, I always find inspiration from those around me and love the way their perspectives can influence my own, leading to images I otherwise probably wouldn’t have thought to capture. All in all, this trip was one of the most impactful travel adventures I’ve ever had and I truly cannot await until my next opportunity to return to the magnificent land of ice and fire.
